SteelOrbis has been informed that today, August 5, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has raised its rebar price in the local currency by TRY 250/mt to TRY 24,000/mt ($600/mt) ex-works, for an extended delivery period, as compared to Monday, July 29, in order to offset currency fluctuations. The mill's rebar price has remained stable on US dollar basis. The producer has also cut its wire rod price by $10/mt to $600/mt ex-works due to sluggish demand, also for an extended delivery period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 33.34 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
