SteelOrbis has been informed that today, December 18, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 24,400/mt ($581/mt) ex-works, for an extended delivery period. In addition, the producer has also kept its wire rod price at $600/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The main reasons for the decreased price is the sluggish demand and the ongoing currency fluctuations. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 35,01 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate. The mill's rebar price indicates a TRY 100/mt($4/mt) decrease week on week.
