Iskenderun-based Turkish mill raises its rebar price as week begins

SteelOrbis has been informed that today, September 16, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has increased its rebar price by TRY 100/mt to TRY 24,450/mt ($599/mt) ex-works, for an extended delivery period, against the backdrop of the relatively positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. The mill's rebar price has indicated an increase of $2/mt on US dollar basis, compared to Wednesday, September 11. So far, the producer has kept its wire rod price stable at $590/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period, over the same period. The mill is expected to revise its wire rod price in the short term. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 34.00 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
