SteelOrbis has been informed that today, October 28, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has raised its rebar price by TRY 200/mt ($5/mt) to TRY 26,200/mt ($637/mt) ex-works, as compared to Wednesday, October 23, for an extended delivery period. The producer has also kept its wire rod price stable at $625/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The main reason for the price increase is the ongoing currency fluctuations. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 34.29 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
