Over the past week, official wire rod prices in Turkey have fallen by $10-20/mt amid sluggish demand and weaker import scrap prices.

According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $575-590/mt ex-works, depending on the region, down by $10/mt over the same period.

One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its wire rod price at $600/mt ex-works today.

Most local buyers are in wait-and-see mode.
