Local Turkish official wire rod prices move sideways

Over the past week, most Turkish mills have kept their official wire rod prices unchanged amid sluggish demand. Moreover, one Iskenderun-based mill has also kept its wire rod price at $620/mt ex-works for an extended delivery period. Additional discounts are available only for serious buyers and cash payment.

According to sources, the workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $590-610/mt ex-works, also stable over the past week depending on the region.

The Turkish central bank has kept interest rates stable today at 50 percent and most buyers are purchasing in line with their daily needs only.
