The reference price for the export of rebars by Brazilian producers is $890/mt against $925/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In October, Brazil exported 30,500 mt and imported 19,400 mt of rebars against respectively 35,300 mt and 39,600 mt in September.
The exports of October were all destined to South American countries, shipped by ArcelorMittal (15,300 mt at $682/mt) and Gerdau (15,200 mt at $603/mt), FOB conditions.
The imports were from Egypt (15,700 mt at $610/mt), Peru (1,800 mt at $660/mt), and Turkey (1,800 mt at $603/mt), also FOB conditions. Small volumes were shipped from China and Germany.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebars are offered by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 6,100mt ($1,048/mt), against BRL 6,200/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
