Turkey’s Icdas cuts its official longs prices after a long break

Today, July 8, Turkish steelmaker Icdas A.S. has decreased its rebar and wire rod prices by $10/mt and $20/mt, respectively, compared to Monday, February 26. The main reason is sluggish demand. The mill has issued its official rebar price at TRY 21,950/mt ($610/mt) ex-works. The supplier has also issued its wire rod price at TRY 22,310/mt ($620/mt) ex-works. Both long product prices include 10 percent VAT.

According to sources, the mill was testing $600/mt ex-works only for serious buyers and cash payment last week and this latest movement may be considered as an upward trend for regular buyers.

Most mills in the Marmara and İzmir regions are offering rebar at $585-605/mt ex-works today, SteelOrbis has heard.
