Today, July 25, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 100/mt ($4/mt) in the Marmara and Iskenderun regions, while remaining unchanged on Turkish lira basis and with minor changes on US dollar basis in the rest of the country, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand, as compared to Monday, July 22. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 23,200-24,200/mt or $585-610/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, at an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 33,06.
The workable rebar prices in the Izmir and Marmara regions still vary at $585-600/mt ex-works, including prices from Icdas A.S., for serious buyers and cash payment only.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 24,000/mt ($605/mt) ex-works today. The general sentiment on the demand side is negative.
