Over the past week, most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have kept their official export prices unchanged at $620-630/mt FOB amid relatively stable import billet prices and sluggish international demand. Currently, official ex-Turkey equal angle offers are standing at $620-630/mt FOB, for late October-November shipment. Sources report a few re-rollers are applying aggressive pricing to generate sales and are quoting at $600-610/mt FOB depending on the size. Moreover, a few re-rollers are also testing slightly above $630/mt FOB, SteelOrbis has heard.

The SteelOrbis daily Turkish import billet reference price stands at $485-500/mt CFR, rising by $10/mt week on week.

One Izmir-based mill in an official statement yesterday, September 26, said, "In the last 43 days, our company has received new steel profile orders from the American continent, the MENA region, Europe and Turkey amounting to US$92,858,824." In addition, in Turkish merchant bar market a few inquiries from the Balkan region have been heard.
