Over the past week, official wire rod prices in Turkey have fallen by $5-15/mt against the backdrop of sluggish demand and weaker import scrap prices.

According to sources, the workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $585-600/mt ex-works, depending on the region, down by $10/mt over the same period.

One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its wire rod price at $610/mt ex-works today.

The general sentiment on the demand side is negative amid the adverse weather conditions and the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment.
