Over the past week, official wire rod prices in Turkey have fallen by $7.5-10/mt in the Marmara and Iskenderun regions, while remaining stable in the rest of the country, against the backdrop of sluggish demand and the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment.

According to sources, the workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $625-635/mt ex-works, depending on the region, with additional discounts applicable for serious buyers only.

One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its wire rod price at $625/mt ex-works today, October 22. The sentiment on the demand side is negative for now.
