Over the past week, official wire rod prices in Turkey have mostly fallen by $10/mt, against the backdrop of sluggish demand and weaker import scrap prices, except in the Thrace region where wire rod prices have remained stable.

According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $565-585/mt depending on the region, versus $575-590/mt ex-works last week.

One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its wire rod price at $590/mt ex-works. The mill is expected to revise its wire rod price in the short term.
