Wire rod prices from Turkey’s Aegean region mostly stabilize

SteelOrbis has been informed that offers from a producer in Izmir in Turkey’s Aegean region for 5.5 mm drawing quality wire rod have been issued at $610/mt ex-works, while its offers for 20MnB4 grade have been set at $750/mt ex-works. 

In addition, the producer’s offers for 5.5 mm drawing quality wire rod are at $625/mt delivered to Istanbul and its offers for 20MnB4 grade are at $765/mt delivered to Istanbul. The offers in question have remained stable, compared to the offers seen on Friday, August 16.

All the above prices exclude 20 percent VAT and are for cash payments.

Note: The mill has cut its 5.5-16 mm SAE 1010/mesh grade price by $5/mt to $580/mt, while cutting its 5.5-16 mm SAE 1010/mesh grade-2A price by $5/mt to $575/mt ex-works, over the same period, due to sluggish demand, SteelOrbis has heard.
