Wire rod prices from Turkey’s Aegean region trend up

SteelOrbis has been informed that offers from a producer in Izmir in Turkey’s Aegean region for 5.5 mm drawing quality wire rod have been issued at $620/mt ex-works, while its offers for 20MnB4 grade have been set at $760/mt ex-works. 

In addition, the producer’s offers for 5.5 mm drawing quality wire rod are at $635/mt delivered to Istanbul and its offers for 20MnB4 grade are at $775/mt delivered to Istanbul. The offers in question have risen by $10/mt, compared to the offers seen on Wednesday, September 11.

All the above prices exclude 20 percent VAT and are for cash payments.

Note: The mill has raised its 5.5-16 mm SAE 1010/mesh grade price by $10/mt to $590/mt, while also raising its 5.5-16 mm SAE 1010/mesh grade-2A price by $10/mt to $585/mt ex-works, over the same period, amid the relatively better demand.
