Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 32, 2024

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have declined by NTD 300/mt ($9/mt) over the past week to NTD 10,500-11,200/mt ($324-345/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 500/mt ($15/mt) over the past week to NTD 38,000-40,500/mt ($1,172-1,249/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early September shipments.
