Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 47, 2024

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by NTD 300/mt ($9/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,100-9,800/mt ($279-301/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have declined by NTD 500/mt ($15/mt) over the past week to NTD 37,500-40,000/mt ($1,152-1,229/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-December shipments.
