Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 49, 2024

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have declined by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,900-9,600/mt ($275-296/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 500/mt ($15/mt) over the past week to NTD 37,000-39,500/mt ($1,141-1,218/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late December-early January shipments.
