India’s NMDC Limited hikes prices of iron ore lumps and fines for Oct deliveries

Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited has increased prices of iron ore lumps and fines effective for deliveries from October 1, company sources said on Tuesday, October 1.

The price of iron ore lumps (10-40 mm, Fe content 67 percent and higher) has been increased by INR 300/mt ($4/mt), taking the effective price to INR 6,720/mt ($80/mt) ex-pithead.

The price of iron ore fines (less than 10 mm, Fe content 64 percent) has been hiked by INR 400/mt ($5/mt), taking the effective price to INR 5,010/mt ($60/mt) ex-pithead.

All prices are inclusive of mandatory levies like District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess and forest permit fees.
