Local Turkish scrap market price remains stable

Friday, 27 September 2024 15:27:42 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Although some price adjustments were made by few Turkish mills over the past two weeks, their general range for domestic scrap procurement prices remained unchanged. Turkish mills are supporting their production by domestic scrap, while exerting pressure on deep and short sea scrap quotations.

General range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has remained stable at TRY 11,800-13,300/mt in the local currency. Dollar-based quotations have moved down to $346-389/mt from $347-391/mt recorded on September 13.
