US Midwest August scrap prices in the US Ohio Valley settle sideways to July

US domestic Midwest scrap prices in the Ohio Valley for August were sideways to July as low finished steel demand was balanced by reduced scrap yard inventories estimated to be off as much as 50 percent. Traders quoted the market as “sloppy” with buying activity reported light.
