Chinese seamless pipe prices have declined slightly during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak due to off-season. Upstream billet prices continued to see a fluctuation with slight downticks which mainly cause seamless pipe prices to follow. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may continue moving on a downtrend.
Chinese welded pipe prices remained to see a downward movement during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak due to hot and rainy weather in most areas of China. Upstream steel strip and other raw material prices have continued to see a weak trend. As for the week ahead, considering off-season and weakness of demand, it is believed that welded pipe prices may keep registering slight declines.
