At present, export offers for welded pipe given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $500-510/mt FOB, remaining stable compared to July 10, while export offers for API 5L seamless pipe given by Chinese suppliers are at $510-530/mt FOB, October shipment, moving sideways compared to July 10.

During the given week, steel pipe prices in the Chinese domestic market have fluctuated within a limited range amid slight increases in inventory levels. Cautious sentiments have prevailed among market players during the traditional hot summer off-season. HRC futures prices have edge down, weakening the support for steel pipe prices. It is thought that steel pipe prices in the Chinese domestic market may edge down in the coming week.
As of July 17, HRC futures at the Shanghai Futures Exchange are standing at RMB 3,668/mt ($514/mt), decreasing by RMB 13/mt ($1.8/mt) or 0.35 percent since July 10, while down 1.64 percent compared to the previous trading day, July 16.
