China’s coke exports decrease by 5.3 percent in 2024

In 2024, China’s metallurgical coke exports amounted to 8.32 million mt, decreasing by 5.3 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In December alone, China’s metallurgical coke exports totaled 560,000 mt, down 28.9 percent year on year, while increasing by 3.7 percent month on month.

In 2024, China’s coal exports reached 6.66 million mt, up 49.1 percent year on year. In December alone, China’s coal exports amounted to 620,000 mt, up 42.2 percent year on year, while increasing by 77 percent month on month.
