In the January-November period last year, Colombia exported 135,694 mt of ferronickel, down 0.3 percent, with a value of $486.11 million, declining by 19.5 percent, both year on year, as announced by the Colombian National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE). In November, Colombian ferronickel exports amounted to 10,047 mt, down by 25.2 percent, and were worth $33.62 million, down by 27.2 percent, both year on year.
In the January-November period, Colombia’s iron and steel export volume totaled 243,016 mt, up by 17.1 percent, with a value of $688.21 million, down by 9.1 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In November, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 19,081 mt, increasing by 0.5 percent, and were worth $49.36 million, down by 13.8 percent, both compared to the same month of 2023.
