In the January-October period this year, Colombia exported 125,647 mt of ferronickel, up 2.4 percent, with a value of $452.49 million, declining by 18.9 percent, both year on year, as announced by the Colombian National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE). In October, Colombian ferronickel exports amounted to 10,640 mt, down by 3.2 percent, and were worth $38.22 million, up by 8.0 percent, both year on year.
In the January-October period, Colombia’s iron and steel export volume totaled 223,934 mt, up by 18.8 percent, with a value of $638.84 million, down by 8.7 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In October, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 24,254 mt, increasing by 34.4 percent, and were worth $56.26 million, up by 12.5 percent, both compared to the same month of 2023.
