Brazil exported 6,140 mt of niobium ferroalloys in September, down from 6,774 mt August and 7,700 mt in July.
The exports in September were destined to Asia (3,662 mt, of which 1,640 mt at $26,368/mt to China), Europe (1,628 mt at $25,747/mt), the US (678 mt at $23,902), Canada (80 mt at $23,935/mt), South Africa (47 mt at $24,908/mt), and Mexico (45 mt at $24,058/mt), all FOB conditions.
The exports were from CBMM, the world’s largest producing company (4,825 mt at $26,227/mt/mt), and CMOC (1,015 mt at $5,362/mt) while 300 mt at $22,761/mt were exported from operations in the state of Amazonas.
The world’s largest producer of niobium ferroalloys, Brazil, exported 65,576 mt of the product during the first nine months of 2024, with total FOB revenues of $1.688 billion against 64,568 mt and $1.681 billion during the same period of 2023.
