Brazil exported 10,515 mt of niobium ferroalloys in May, against 7,488 mt in April, according to SECEX.
The increase reflects a higher volume exported to China.
The exports of May were destined to Asia (8,375 mt, of which 6,433 mt at $26,657/mt to China), Europe (1,000 mt at $2,113/mt), the US (795 mt at $25,687/mt), Mexico (119 mt at $25,887/mt), Saudi Arabia (100 mt at $26,358/mt), Canada (66 mt at $26,183/mt), and South Africa (60 mt at $25,530/mt), all FOB conditions.
The exports were from CBMM, the world’s largest producing company (8,611 mt at $26,982/mt), and CMOC (1,529 mt at $24,761/mt), while 375 mt at $23,945/mt were exported from operations in the state of Amazonas.
