Brazil exported 6,774 mt of niobium ferroalloys in August against 7,700 mt in July.
The exports in August were destined to Asia (4,831 mt, of which 3,281 mt at $25,891/mt to China), Europe (1,246 mt at $25,815/mt), and the US (596 mt at $24,572), all FOB conditions, while smaller volumes were shipped to South Africa and to Mexico.
The exports were from CBMM, the world’s largest producing company (5,617 mt at $26,355/mt) and CMOC (834 mt at $24,576/mt), while 323 mt at $23,204/mt were exported from operations in the state of Amazonas.
The world’s largest producer of niobium ferroalloys, Brazil, exported 59,435 mt of the product during the first eight months of 2024, with total FOB revenues of $1.527 billion against 57,927 mt and $1.509 billion during the same period of 2023.
