Industrial output of China’s steel sector up 3.6 percent in Jan-Nov

In the January-November period this year, the value-added industrial output of the ferrous metal smelting and rolling sector in China recorded a year-on-year rise of 3.6 percent, 0.4 percentage points higher compared to the increase recorded in the January-October period this year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on December 16.

In November alone, the value-added industrial output of the ferrous metal smelting and rolling sector in China increase by 6.7 percent year on year.

In the first 11 months, China's overall value-added industrial output increased by 5.8 percent year on year. In November alone, the overall value-added industrial output increased by 5.4 percent year on year, while up 0.46 percent month on month.    

In the January-November period, the value-added industrial outputs in the mining and manufacturing sectors rose by 3.2 percent and by 5.9 percent year on year, respectively.  

In November, the value-added industrial outputs in the mining and manufacturing sectors increased by 4.2 percent and 6.0 percent year on year, respectively.
