NBS: Local Chinese rebar prices up 1.2% in early December

In early December this year, the average price in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar increased by RMB 39.1/mt ($5.4/mt) or 1.2 percent to RMB 3,371.3/mt ($469/mt), compared to the price in late November (November 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.

In the given period, the average prices of wire rod, medium plate, hot rolled coil (HRC) and angles rose by 0.8 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, though the average price of seamless steel pipes decreased by 0.6 percent, all compared to late November.
