One Turkish mill cuts its ship scrap purchase price, general range stable

One out of the four Turkish steel producers in the Izmir region that are currently accepting ship scrap into their yards has cut its purchase price by $5/mt as compared to October 31. This move has not changed the general price range which is still at $365-380/mt, with Habas representing the higher end. If the deep sea segment continues its stable trend, a similar trend may be seen for ship scrap prices in Turkey.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
