Turkey’s ship scrap prices fall sharply

Following the declining trend observed in Turkey’s deep and short sea scrap prices, Turkish mills have dropped their ship scrap purchase prices sharply. The general price range has declined by $10/mt on the upper end to $365-370/mt, with only one Turkish mill keeping its price stable week on week.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
