Turkey’s ship scrap market follows the declining deep sea market

Following the sharp decline observed in the deep sea scrap segment, ship scrap procurement prices in Turkey have declined also. Three out of four producers have cut their prices by $5-10/mt as compared to yesterday, with the general price range currently stand at $365-385/mt.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
