South Korean company Doowon Refrigeration to invest $43 million in Mexico

The South Korean company Doowon Refrigeration, a supplier to the automotive industry, will invest $43 million to produce cooling systems for vehicles in the northern city of Apodaca, in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, the local government reported.

The investment is divided into two phases. In the first phase, it has already invested $18 million and hired 100 people for production. In the second phase that will begin next month, it will invest another $25 million for the expansion of the production plant.

Doowon Refrigeration produces and sells pipes for automobile air conditioners. With headquarters in Seoul, Korea, the company is part of the Doowon industrial conglomerate.
